Web applications and customer portals

Zepher Co. designs and builds custom web applications, customer portals and internal tools for Australian businesses. We start with the task customers or staff need to complete, then connect the interface, data and administration needed to make that workflow useful.

A good fit when the details matter.

Every project starts with the people behind it: what they are trying to change, what is already working, and what a useful next step looks like.

  • Service businesses moving beyond email, spreadsheets or a basic enquiry form.
  • Teams that need a quoting, customer-service or administration workflow.
  • Businesses whose existing tools do not fit a specific operational need.

What we’ll make together.

The exact scope follows the problem, not a preset package. These are the kinds of outcomes we shape with you along the way.

The workflow, made clear

Map who does what, the information they need and where work currently stalls. Identify the smallest useful improvement before choosing features.

Customer-facing tools

Create focused experiences such as estimate portals, customer accounts or guided requests when these belong in the agreed scope.

A practical admin experience

Design the other side of the workflow so staff can review information and respond. Consider mobile access when the team is not always at a desk.

Connected information

Plan the data, permissions and integrations required by the application. Test the important journeys and agree how the tool will be maintained.

A thoughtful path from first conversation to launch.

You stay close to the decisions. We make the work visible early, listen carefully, and keep the build connected to the reason you started.

  1. 01

    Follow the real task

Understand the existing workflow, people, information and systems. Decide what should change and what is already working.

  2. 02

    Design both sides

Work through the customer experience and the staff response together. An easy request is only useful if someone can act on it.

  3. 03

    Build and review

Develop the agreed workflow in working previews. Review the behaviour, data access and edge cases with the people who will use it.

  4. 04

    Put it into use

Check the core journeys, prepare the handover and agree support. Improve the application as the business learns from real use.

Good questions, straight answers.

We would rather understand your project properly than give you a tidy answer that does not fit.

When is a custom application better than an existing tool?

A custom application can make sense when an important workflow does not fit existing software or when disconnected tools create unnecessary manual work. We compare that need with adapting an existing product before assuming a custom build is the right answer.

Can you build a customer quoting portal?

Yes. Crete & Stone includes a portal where prospective customers can estimate project costs. The right approach depends on how estimates are calculated, what information customers provide and when a person needs to review the enquiry.

Can staff use the application on mobile?

Yes. Mobile access can be part of the application scope. For Crete & Stone, Mo built a companion mobile app so admins can respond to enquiries in real time. The platform and delivery approach depend on what your team needs to do.

Can the application connect with systems we already use?

We can scope integrations where the existing systems provide suitable access. What is possible depends on their APIs, permissions, data quality and commercial arrangements, so these are checked before a commitment is made.

What happens after launch?

We agree the maintenance, monitoring and support appropriate to the application. A useful tool also needs an owner inside the business and a process for reviewing feedback, access and changes over time.

The right next step starts with a conversation.

Tell us what is happening in your business and what you would like to make possible. We’ll take it from there, together.
